It’s early here on the West Coast, but we wanted to start out the Thanksgiving holiday by expressing our deep gratitude for your support this year. We cannot tell you how much we appreciate your support through Kickstarter, your words of encouragement, and your votes for Geek of the Year!!

We started buddingSTEM for our girls and your girls. Our goal was not only to allow girls to see that things like science and engineering are for them through a new STEM clothing line, but also to push the entire children’s market – toys and clothes – to better reflect all things girls love. And the good news is that the change is happening! We are grateful that the messages girls receive are becoming more inclusive.

SEATTLE: The Museum of Flight 

Our first retail partner was Seattle’s Museum of Flight -- super exciting!! 

Not only is the Museum carrying our Rocket dresses and leggings in its gift shop, they also partnered with us on a fun photoshoot featuring two smart #STEMGirls! Rebecca and Kimberly (8 and 10 years old) built a homemade spacecraft -- and then launched it to 78,000 feet!! 

Using GoPro cameras, tracking equipment, and GPS, the girls have a great video that talks about their project! And here’s a link to a KING5 News Story featuring the girls’ project and our photoshoot at the Museum of Flight. 

PORTLAND: The Bull & The Bee
